Hi All,
I am getting an error message when I am trying to import bank statements using Import statement function under Bank accounts form. I have performed the required setup as per the following documentation for BAI2 format:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/finance/cash-bank-management/set-up-advanced-bank-reconciliation-import-process
The error message is mentioned below:
The bank statement was not imported because bank account "LOD" was not identified in the import file.
When I view the mapping for BankStatementDocumentEntity, the field BankAccount in Staging table doesn't have a mapping from Source as shown below. Could this be the reason for error ?
Thanks,
Baber.
Hi Andre,
The issue is resolved. The BAI2 format was expecting just the bank account number in the file, whereas I was providing BSB and Account number both as a single string. Removing BSB number resolved the issue.
Hi Baber,
I have not used the entities for the bank statement before. There is a composite entity for the bank statements. Probably, you have to use the composite entity which can take care of the bank account by taking it from the header?
I regenerated the mapping, but still the bank account in staging doesn't map to any field from Source. This is because there is no BankAccount field in the source XML file. Not sure why there is no BankAccount field in the source XML file, although the source file content comes from SampleBankCompositeEntity.xml file which is found in the AOT-> resouce section. I have done the setup of BAI2 as per the Microsoft docs site, but seems like there is something missing. Any clue what might be missing in the setup ?
Hi Ludwig,
Yes the bank account is setup with the account number and it does match with the account number in the bank statement file.
Hello Baber,
Do you have a LOD bank account setup in the cash and banking module?
Does the information in the bank statement - that is the bank account ID - match the information in the banking module?
Best regards,
Ludwig
Not sure what it is causing it. When you have an environment where the mapping is missing, try to (re)generate the field mappings. At least without a mapping it can't find the target fields.
