Maximum number of joins exceeded in Excel Add-in

Hi,

I've been trying to configure some general journals with the AX Office Add-in, but whenever I add tables and try and refresh the data, I'm getting stack trace errors like this:

stack_5F00_trace.png

I've only got two fields selected as the image shows, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be working. They're also both in the same table, unless I'm mistaken.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Thanks

Josh

Something does look broken indeed, the columns which you are adding must be causing some sort of looping to join in the extra datasource. You are definitely not adding the columns from the same table/datasource, or this would not happen.

AX rarely has more than 16 tables joined together, that is why the default cap is set like that in the AX AOS configuration. And yours exceeds 99, which is crazy.

Check what fields you are trying to add with an AX technical staff, and also validate your customizations in the environment which might be conflicting and causing this issue.

    Hi Vilmos,

    Thanks for your reply.

It seems like the columns are in the same table to me (LedgerJournalTrans - Journal lines) although I could be wrong, but that's how it appears in Excel.

I tried some alternative fields, but they all give the same error.

I'll check with our developers to see what I'm misunderstanding or if there's an actual fault.

    Josh
