Duplicating Sales Order lines.

I was wondering if anyone else ran into this situation, and if so how did you get around it?

Here's what's happening(I've personalized my form to have SalesLine LineNum):

1) Create a sales order.

2) Add several lines. Say 40.

3) Exit and return to the form.

4) Select the last line

5) Click Add line

6) Fill out as normal

7) Click tab 'Sales order' >View > Totals

At this point if you scroll down you'll see SO lines numbered 1.00000, 2.00000, etc.... then around line 15-25 (completely dependent on how big you have the window) it will start over at 1.00000 and repeat everything up to the total number of Sales Order lines. This will also happen in other instances than Totals, but this is the easiest way of reproducing it.

Here's the thing, I'm also able to reproduce this in an untouched install of AX 2012 R2. I will be filing it with Microsoft but don't anticipate it being fixed any time soon and would like to find a work around if possible.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I forgot to mention, when you refresh the form the information becomes correct. This works for the time being, but we've already had Order Entry workers see the dup lines and try to delete the first set thinking they were in there twice.

It seems to be some refresh issue..

I am not getting any such behaviour

Please verify and updated with more information about case if you have

Thank you for your response. It's interesting to hear it is working correctly for you. What version of AX are you using? We have 2012 R2 with the build version below. I'm able to duplicate the issue in a fresh install of AX so I would imagine others would have the issue as well.

One possible reason for your issue could be

your Kernel Version and Application Version are not matching

this could be the potential cause of issue.

In my case both are 6.2.1000.4051

    and I am having AX2012 R2 CU7

    I think you have

(Cumulative Update 6) 6.2.1000.1437 as your Application version

and Kernel Version seems to be applied with some specific KB

Please check, for me this is the potential cause.

We are indeed on CU 6. We skipped CU 7 as there wasn't much that benefited us. I am, however, upgrading our system to R3 starting on Monday. If this has been fixed in CU7, I anticipate that it would be resolved in R3 as well.

yes, you are right it will get solved in R3

but for your AX 2012 R2 issue,

I suggest if you please check the issue with identical Kernel version and Application version.

Please verify and appreciated if you please update.

I checked this issue in our preview version of R3 and it does appear to work as expected. Being that I'm beginning the upgrade process on Monday I'm not going to get any deeper into fixing this when it will go away soon anyway. Thank you for your help!

I know this is an old post, but did the "problem" go away?  I ask because we are on AX2012R3CU10 and this behavior is still there.

We no longer had the issue after going to R3. I had completely forgot about it until your reply.
