We would like for the customer to click on a join teams event link in the portal, so that we can track if he attended the meeting.
Is this possible with the OOB of the event landing page? There is the option to cancel the registration but how about joining the event? I know that we are able to send the links by email but I have not found the solution where it is possible to go to the event directly from a landing page.
It should look something like this:
Thank you Shravan for your reply. I'm looking forward to have this feature included in a future release. Best regards, Jonathan
Hey Jonathan,
This will require you to edit the event website (specifically, the my registrations page). You can use Angular to make these updates. You can read more about this, here (docs.microsoft.com/.../event-management-web-application)
I would add one more note - use the event management check-in API - so that when a user clicks on the "Join now" button (at most 30 mins before the beginning of the event) - it will automatically create the check-in record for the registrant as well. You can read about the check-in API here - go.microsoft.com/.../
Hopefully, this answers your question. We've also taken this as feedback to update the OOB event website in the future.
Thanks,
Shravan
Hi Jesper
Thank you for the quick reply. In that case it is not that easy as I expected it from the D365 marketing :-(
When you mention to create your own event portal. Do you have some hints on what the best way this would be.
Best regards, Jonathan
You'd have to create your own event portal. Another option is to leverage this flow: lystavlenhistoric.home.blog/.../
