need to create new role for newly developed function

Hi all!

I would like to create new role that only able to use new add-on function.

so I created new role, linked to new process cycle, new privilege and duty.

in the step of add permissions to privilege, I set up the new menu from rich client (the new function is under inventory management>Item Counting> Allocation(⇐new function) . So I set up with full control of Allocation to new privilege.

And finally , I set an User (for e.g. user1)to new role.

but , the new function cannot use properly like some post function and detailed line functions are not appeared for user1.

What can I do for this?

    You said that you want to only grant access to this one add-on function.

    And now you say that the role doesn't have access to some other functions.

    It seems to work as expected?

    If the role should have access to these additional functions, then you need to add the related menu items to your privilege.

    Hi Pooh,

    If something is not appearing, then you should extend the role with other duties/privileges or create new objects. Or assign a role to the user, which already has that access.

    If you need help in case you get stuck, then please elaborate on the full requirements.

    Sorry for my late reply and my complicated question.

    add-on function have several small functions like header screen, move to detail screen, create new journal and post,etc.)

    I meant my problem is like I can create new to role to access header screen, but cannot access to move detail screen and others.

    My requirement is  there are users that have the access to new add-on function and also other enterprise function.

    But customer want to create new role that only allow to use new add-on function and want to apply that role to some  user (for e.g. user a) .

    So , user a will be allowed to use only the new add-on function.

    The requirement is like that.

    So , I performed below

    What is this "Allocation"? Is it a function? Is it a form? Are the header and detail "pages" on the same form, or did you develop two separate forms?
