I am able to view the contact details in Basic->Setup->Addresses->Contact Details
It also appears in Cust/Vendor details->Contact information->Contact but not when I click on the drop down list (which is the main table for Contacts)
Is it because I have not mapped it with address details and partyrelationship1066?Since I don’t have address details of any of the contact person, I could not map it with these 2 tables.Do I have to link Contact person with any other table to view it in the front end of Contacts? Kindly let me know if any1 can help. Thanks.

There is only 1 contact person for a customer and vendor so i think i should atleast be able to see that same contact person in the drop down list too.I will try the solution given by you and let you know. Thanks,

I think that in the CustTable and VendTable you can link a customer or a vendor to just ONE contact person... and you can see this person in the Contact box.
But you really need to link many contact persons to the same customer or vendor and you want to see them in the drop-down box, right? For that purpose I use the CustAccount and VendAccount fields in the ContactPerson table. Try them and let me know if it worked for you.
I think the field in the Custtable/Vendtable is for what you see in the Contact box but the fields in the ContactPerson table is for what you see in the Contact drop-down.

I have linked the contact person to customer and vendor by providing the contact person id in the Custtable and Vendtable. I am able to view for each cust and vendor their respective contact person in the "contact" box of contact info tab present in customer and vendor details. There is a drop down option next to "contact" box if you have noticed.I am not able to view all the Contact Persons there.
