Error when exporting to Excel: Neglecting decimal separator making values too big

Hi there,

When I in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 export data to Excel the values are way too high. It appears to be because the decimal separator (comma) is neglected. For example, it results in the number 123,1234 as observed in AX to be 1231234 when exported to Excel.

Do any of you have any recommendations as to how I can fix this?

All input is much appreciated!

Ludwig, changing to 'server' solved my problem. I appreciate your help - thanks!

    Hi Tobben,

Can you check under file-tools-options what excel export option is selected (client vs. server) and whether changing this option makes a difference?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

My computer is in English which is also the case in AX where it is set to EN-US. My current regional format on my computer is "English (Denmark)".  In AX the 'Default country/region' was blank. Just now, I tried changing it to 'DNK' (Denmark) but that did not help despite closing AX and opening it again. Therefore, I believe that AX is now running with the same configurations in regard to the parameters you mention.

Hi, What language and region settings do you have setup on your computer? Is AX2012 running with the same configurations in regards to country/language and regional parameters?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
