Printer settings for a specific report

Hello,

I just had one of our users come to me because he was unable to print a packing list to the screen. He was unable to print the original but he was able to print the copy version. The error shown is about a certain section in the report being too high for the page size. This makes me believe that for some reason AX has selected the Dymo label printer as the standard printer for the original version of the packing slip. He was able to print the original versions just fine yesterday.

The design of the report is pretty straightforward and does not contain code to force it to use a certain printer.

We have tried to restart AX and the entire computer but this has had no effect. Is there a way for me to reset the printer settings or get into these  settings to select the proper printer?

Thanks for any and all help

Update: Just checked the "print management" form on the "form setup" form. The printer set there for the packing list seems to be the correct one. Changing the page setup does not seem to help at this point (was set to "letter" and changed to "A4"). The original version of the packing list keeps returning the message "A section in the report is higher than the actual page size allows". It is still possible to print the copy version of the packing list to the screen (and printer) without issues.

Why would it be possible to print the copy version but not the original one?

    Hi djwestwood,

We eventually corrected this by going into the user's settings and just deleting the specific lines belonging to the packing list.

For us it seemed to have something to do with the computer setting a different standard printer in the "printers and devices" part of the configuration screen of that specific computer.

The issue actually came back the next day so we decided to delete the user setting files (sorry, I've forgotten where those are saved)  for this user. The issue never came back after that.

    Hi Sebasshhh,

We have just started to experience the same problem when printing our Sales Order confirmation report.

The workaround is to change the paper size from A4 to A3..... which is good for the business but not the environment!

How did your resolve your problem?
