Change the direction of standard mappings in NAV-CRM connector?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi, is it possible to change the direction of standard mappings provided? For example The standard mapping  direction provided is NAV Items to CRM Products, but can I map products in CRM to Items in NAV? (Under a special case)

When I activated this mapping nothing was written and there were no records in the log file as well.

Any comments about this kind of mapping?
Thanks in advance :)

Hi All :) , Thanks for your reply. Can we achieve this using a custom entity?
and do products in CRM get deactivated when running the Adapter CRM configuration utility?

    Hello Achini,

You may have a look at the following link which gives information on mapping between NAV and CRM .

If I look at this from the functional view and not the technical side, the ERP records require more information that CRM.

The NAV Item record contains many variables that are critical in order for a Sales Quote / Order to be processed. (Product Posting Group, Inventory Posting Group, Tax Setups to name a few)

Native CRM Products would not contain enough information and would fail the process.

I would imagine this is why the CRM connector is configured to go NAV to CRM.
