Upgrade path from GP 2016

Posted on by 15

We are currently using Microsoft GP 2016 and I've been asked to document our upgrade options.  Can you direct me to documentation that describes the upgrade options/products when we leave GP 2016?

Thanks and forgive me if I've posted this to the wrong forum, your guidance to the proper place to ask this question would be appreciated.

The important thing here is you need to be on 16.00.0716 or later to jump to 18.2. Good luck!

Thanks so much.   I found the Microsoft Customer Source site with exactly what I needed to know:

There is no GP2020. It is GP 18.2. GP365 is DYN365 which is a totally separate product with no direct migration path from GP.

We will remain on GP.  We are running Cogsdale CSM which is built on GP.  I think there is a GP 2020 but I haven't found any information about it, everything talks about GP 365.

Do an internet search on "GP 2018 upgrade path". You will need to be on

    16.00.0716 or later

    Mid-Year

    KB4099098

to go to GP 18.2.1060 which is the latest version.
