Trial Balance unable to export to csv file.

A couple of our GP users are unable to save their Trial Balances. Reports > Financial > Trial Balance. On the TB window you select Default, insert it, then click on "Modify". On the next window under "Range" select an existing range, Click on Destination, select file, name the file you want to save and select Comma delimited. Click OK. No file is generated

Is it printing to screen and do you see the data?  If yes, then make sure you select File Format as Comma-Delimited on the Export File window(when you click Folder Icon), not just Report Destination window. Whatever the format you select on Export file window overrides Format on Report Destination window. And also type .csv at the end of the file name.

If you are on Terminal server or Citrix make sure you select right folder. You may think that you are saving to your local desktop but it might be saved on TS Desktop. Try to save on a UNC path and see.

After they click that final OK, do they click 'Print'?

I wanted to save the file/document in csv format. I made sure the file path was my profile's desktop. When I click "okay" nothing is generated.

Do they ever save the report as a different option? Clicking on the Okay button will not generate the file, they also need to click the Print button after they click the Okay button.

Hi Leslie, the user was skipping the "Print" bit and just clicking on"Destination" which definitely will not generate a report. After remotely logging in to his laptop and doing it myself I was able to generate the report.  Thank you for your your assistance
