Document Management SharePoint

The files uploaded to Accounts, Contacts and Opportunities have their own individual folders and that's what I want.

I have found that my files uploaded to Orders and Invoices are sharing the folder with Quotes. Is this a correct behavior or did I make some incorrect settings? Shouldn't they have individual folder like Accounts, Contacts and Opportunities?

Where do I change if I want each of them to have their individual folder?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I have tried to reproduce your issue but unfortunately I cannot reproduce it.

After I added the three entities into the integration, there will be individual folders for them.

The uploaded files are also stored separately.

Would you please navigate to Advanced Settings > Settings > Document Management > Document Management Settings and check if the Order / Invoice entity has been configured correctly?

It would be appreciated if you could provide some screenshots of the settings.

There really isn't any settings there except for ticking the Order and Invoice to enable the entities for Document Management. On the next page, after clicking on next, it brings you to the page that let you "Select Folder Structure" It is not ticked and I didn't tick it because it also has Account and Contact, which I assume it will then create the folders under the related Account or Contact. I want the folders to be created under the respective entities as the folder name.

I think this is a good example. These files were uploaded in Order578 but the folder structure used the related Opportunity (Opportunity334).

I found this in MS Docs I think it is saying something, but I don't really understand it.

     Important

    • With the exception of the opportunity and contract entities, a hierarchical folder structure will not be automatically created in SharePoint for entities that have more than one many-to-one (N:1) relationship with the parent entity.
    • For document management to function correctly for an entity, the entity relationship must be one-to-many (1:N) between the entity and the SharePoint document entity. The documents that exist in the SharePoint document library will not appear in the app for entities with many-to-one (N:1) or many-to-many (N:N) relationships between the entity and a SharePoint document entity.

I found this as well. Maybe related to the issue I am having. Can someone help explain this?

    docs.microsoft.com/.../doc-management-known-issues

Document folder location for multiple lookups

If the entity selected for the Based on entity folder structure has two lookups, documents will not be stored inside the entity folder, but will be stored in the root folder. For example, if the Based on entity folder structure is set to Account, and you have an entity with two lookup accounts, such as Work Order, the documents related to Work Orders will not be stored inside any account document location, but will be stored in the root folder.
