Strange behavior/errors when using Multi-resource scheduling for Field Service

Posted on by

Hello, sorry for the long post, maybe some of you has started to play with the Multi-resource scheduling feature, I have and unfortunately found some inconsistent behavior/errors…?

I have followed these instructions in docs.microsoft.com to create a Resource group Template, add an Incident type to it, and create a Work Order with this incident type. Here are the results:

  • I haven’t found any relationship between Work Order and Requirement Groups. So (as opposite as it states in docs.microsoft.com) there is no way to see how they are related. Nothing appears under the “Requirements” tab, and there is no “Requirement Groups” tab.

My experience:

  • A new requirement group with the same Name-Number as the WO has been created “under the hood”, and it seems to be right:

  • So Question 1 is: Where is the relationship between Work Orders and Requirement Groups (because obviously there is one, and I haven’t found it neither in Relationships nor Connections). Am I missing something?

In addition, booking for both the Work Order and the Requirement Group is giving me WRONG resource group choices. However, Quick Book (which I have activated) from Work Order is giving different, RIGHT resource group choices.

Question 2 is: how can I found out that there is something I am missing? Is that an error?

Thanks a lot in advance!!!

I have also faced the same issue on my system and I have searched a lot on the Internet and finally, got supportphonenumberaustralia.com/.../ that helped me a lot to get the issue fixed.
