    Hi

Could you please try the below steps -
    1. Go to Subscription Billing > Recurring contract billing > Setup > Billing schedule group
    2. Create a new template
      • Billing schedule group = Custom
      • Description = 28 Days Cycle
      • Billing frequency = Daily
      • Billing Interval = 28 days
      • Use repeat logic based on days, not months

If this helped, please mark it as "Verified" for others facing the same issue.

    Hi,

While Abhilash has replied with the solution, however I want to undertand how the billing schedule us managed with 28 days?

If suppose an example January has 31 days, if you follow 28 days billing scheule, it will end up on 28th January and next billing will start from 29th Jan, is it what you are expecting? If not, can you share the scenario ?

    ,

I think it is about 4 weeks cycle for the invoicing. When a year has 52 weeks, it will result in 13 invoices. I have seen that a few times before. There needs to be a correction in case of years with 53 weeks.

You are correct. We follows four week (28 days) cycle and so total 13 periods.

You suggested in the previous reply,  needs to be a correction in case of years with 53 week.

Could you please suggest what correction I need do to take care this requirement and
what is the solution of four period with respect to subscription billing?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Abhilash and André,

I have created new subscription group (Period) for billing interval as 28 days. We follows
four week (28 days) cycle and so total 13 periods.

I have created new billing by taking subscription group as "Period". Billing line
create based on 28 days period but when I am generating invoice I am not seeing any invoice line.
    Anything I am missing ?

    Then performed "Invoice generate"

    No "Invoice generated"
Any thing I am  missing? Please advise.

    Hi Vinay,

The standard subscription billing billing schedule is not aware of the correction in case of 53 weeks in a year. I haven't looked into options for manual overrides myself. Maybe it needs an code adjustment.

For generating the invoice, have you tried a date of August 19 or later? The first period shows an end date of August 19.

    Hi Vinay,

In Dynamics 365 Subscription Billing, the standard billing frequencies (daily, monthly, quarterly, etc.) do not include a native 28-day cycle, which is common for certain industries like telecom or membership services.

    Workaround Options:

    1. Use Daily Frequency with Custom Periods:

      • Set the billing frequency to Daily.
      • Configure the billing schedule to generate invoices every 28 days by setting the interval accordingly in the billing logic or using a custom recurrence pattern.
    2. Custom Frequency via Extension:

      • If your client consistently uses a 28-day cycle, consider creating a custom billing frequency via extension or customization.
      • This can be added to the dropdown and handled in the billing engine logic.
    3. Manual Schedule Setup:

      • Create a manual billing schedule with renewal lines set every 28 days.
      • This is less scalable but works for small volumes or pilot setups.

Let me know if you'd like help designing a custom frequency or automating the 28-day logic!

    Best regards,
    Daniele
