    If you check Dynamics AX 2012 System requirements you will notice that Visual Studio 2017 is not supported.

    Development tools for AX 2012 are avaialble for VS 2017?

    How exactly did you update VS 2017? Or did you actually wanted to say that you moved from an older version of Visual Studio to VS 2017?
