Hi All,
I am trying to post a general journal between two banks one in a foreign currency and one in CAD.
The journal has three lines, one for each bank account and one for a general ledger account for exchange difference when I post I am getting an error:
"Gen. Posting Type must not be in Gen. Journal Line: Journal Template Name=GENERAL, Journal Batch Name=BANK TRSF, Line No.=40000"
I don't understand as the journal only has three lines????
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
John

Hi Paras,

Thanks,
John
Pouj,
Can you check the line numbers of all the lines ? Is there a line with Line No. 40000 ?
Hi Hannes,
Thanks but I tried creating a new entry as well as deleting the last line and it did not work....
John
The joy of NAV's error-messages :-)
Maybe this helps:
Gen. Posting Type must not be blank in Gen. Journal Line:
Maybe the last line is an "empty line"? It exists in the Database but without mandatory data (like amount etc.).
Hi,
Can you add screenshot of journal page?
Regards,
Paras Mehan
