Throttling limit is exceeded by the operation using server based sharepoint integration

Our customer just upgraded to Dynamics 9.0 and server based sharepoint integration.

We now have problems mentioned in this thread https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/14643ca9-50b2-4f28-9be2-9ecf69622a66/throttling-limit-is-exceeded-by-the-operation?forum=crm

The users is unable to sort the documents since we have more then 5000 documents for incident.

Is the solution in the thread above the only solution to achieve sorting when the number of documents for a entity is more than 5000? Or is there any other solution?

Hello,

Looks like that problem is related to a Sharepoint product limitation.

As workaround, please evaluate the article below:

support.microsoft.com/.../manage-large-lists-and-libraries-b8588dae-9387-48c2-9248-c24122f07c59

In this case, Dynamics 365 is reflecting a problem coming from Sharepoint limitation, so there is no workaround considering Dynamics 365.
