When calculating regenerative plan for production orders' requirement using planning worksheet, system always given suggestions regarding change due dates of existing production orders.

Can we make some configurations in system after which system will not give suggestions to change date of any production order.

You cannot do it by default. But, I'm not sure what is your problem.

When you run Calculate regenerative plan for the first time, system will suggest due date. If you change due date and change status of this Production Order to Firm Planed PO, system will not change your due date automatic. When you run again Calculate regenerative plan, system will suggest in Planning Worksheet to Cancel old PO and create New PO with new due date, but you have not to accept this. System will change your due dates only if you leave these POs in Planned PO status.

RE: Due date changes suggestion to off hen using Planning worksheet

    Hi Ishan,

Planning worksheet is always matching Demand Vs Supply with respect to demand date so if your supply orders (e.g. Production order, purchase order) due date is later than the demand date then system asking to change the dates of those supply order to meet the demand on time. however if you do not want to change the dates or do not want to have suggestion of changing the dates in planning worksheet then you can set planning flexibility of those supply orders as None.

Planning flexibility is a field which is available on purchase order line as well as production line so if you set it as None then system will not suggest to change the dates of it however system will also not consider this supply against the demand order (e.g. sales order, production order component) and will suggest you to make new order against it.

In case, if your supply order is earlier then the demand order then also system is suggesting to change the date later to exiting. you can overcome it by putting Dampener Period on item card.

For more information about the supply planning in NAV 2013 please refer below link:

Please let me know if you have any more question or please do verify this suggested answer if it solves your question.
