Can anyone explain me what is the purpose of Review (Message when exceeding credit limit) in Credit Rating .. I did not find anything on internet regarding this. Can anyone please explain the functioning of this?

Credit rating is a field on customer master - This is just a standalone field and allow to track what do you think of customer rating e.g. Poor, Excellend, Bad etc.
Under AR parameters > credit rating....there is rich functionality that help make sure system adheres to credit limit set on the customer master. For e.g. if customer credit limit is $1,000 we don't want to ship more than $1,000 worth of products/services. that's where the "Credit limit type" values comes in handy.

The "Review" options is used specifically for retail payments (On account type) and for performing payment authentication. This is based on where the review is actually used. I haven't used the functionality and Retail might be the right forum to post this on. please create a separate question and see if someone has used the functionality. Searching documentation didn't help either.
