Microsoft Dynamics Ax Enterprise Portal, Request Time Out

I am encountering timeout on Ax 2012 enterprise portal, i had added a Microsoft Dynamics Ax Report in a web part on EP which takes 8 to 10 minutes to run in AX environment, but in EP i am getting time out error due to its time limitation i guess, any suggestion how to increase processing time in Enterprise Portal ?

    Hi Bilal,

    To increase the timeout, Go to:

    Administrative tools -> Internet Information Service(IIS) Manager -> Sites ->Sharepoint-80(your EP base site name might be different) -> Configure/Limits(on the right panel) ->Increase the Connection time-out.

    Also, I would suggest please increase your report performance. If it is an RDP report, extend your DP class with SRSReportDataProviderPreProcess instead of SRSReportDataProviderBase.

    Hi Bilal,

    Can you please do the following and check once!

    - Delete the records from EVENTINBOX table

    - Increase the time out(As Bhuyan mentioned!)

    - Reboot the System

    Please try once and let us know if this helps!!!!!!!

    You simply should not have a 8+ min. report on a landing page. Ever.

    Don't know whate type of data it holds. If you can not find or solve the performance problem you could set a SSRS cache on the report and use a script to make shure the report is prepped once or twice a day.

    You cannot call pre-processed reports on Ep . There is no controller involved when Ep report is called.

    Increase time outs in Service binding for query service .

    Increase the time out on Web.config file for Ep

    Reboot your server.
