OData connection - Unauthorized Error 401.

Hi All,

I am facing Unauthorized 401 error while i am trying to access a particular table in D365 FO using OData.

Error - "An error occurred while processing this request."

Inner exception - "Unauthorized"

Status code - 401

Please help here.

Hi AutoTestDeb,

When you say that you are having issues trying to access a particular entity using Odata, do you mean that you can access everything else fine?

- If you only have this issue with this particular entity, make sure that your user account has access to the entity that you are trying to access.

- If this is a general issue, please share more info about how you are trying to access

- Try if you can access the entity directly via web browser using the URL

Is this issue happening with only one entity? how are you making the call? Can you browse the entity data directly from IE/chrome?

How You are trying to access , through URL ? or posting something to endpoint using some third party app ? Make sure to add Your client ID in AAD applications screen in F&O

Check to make sure that you don't have a "/" on the end of the URL for your AD Resource. I was getting the same thing until I removed that slash - I could log in to AAD and get a token but, I was getting an "Unauthorized" on any read against the Odata endpoint.

Hi,

Before accessing the URL, have you generated the authorization token ?

Can you brief the steps you followed before accessing the entity?
