How do you remove stored credentials so next time you login, NAV will prompt you for login credentials.

I checked Credentials Manager and it wasn't there.

Nobody knows how to resolve this? I can't believe its so difficult. Normally Office 365 credentials can be removed via Credentials Manager in windows. However, the NAV credentials do not appear here. I have removed all O365 credentials from Credentials Manager and NAV still connects with Stored Credentials.

    Hi,

Have you completed set up of single sign on for NAV? If so, you need to log out before closing NAV, else it remembers the previous credentials. Sign out from all your O365 accounts and open NAV in incognito mode.

    Tina,

Yes O365 integration works fine. I am talking about the Win Client here. Incognito is a chrome thing.

    Hi Royce,

Ok so for windows client. You need to go to Dynamics NAV windows client->navigate to more->click on Run as a different user-> NAV will prompt for credentials of another user. You can check below.

    Hi Tina,

I suspected as much, but our partner deployed NAV as an Application Reference file (.appref-ms) which doesn't support the "Run As" right click option.

Actually wouldn't that only work if you were using Windows Credentials to authenticate in NAV? And further more, it wouldn't remove the saved credentials in my windows account.

I found the answer. Using Process Monitor I traced all file access when starting NAV. Reading through the trace file, I noticed quite a few reads of IE cached files, such as cookies and sessions. So I surmised that it might be a session saved in Internet Explorer. I deleted Cookies and Website Data within IE and launched NAV. Then I got the login window once again.

Clearing Cache and website data didn't help in my case, it is still auto login with wrong credentials.
