Excel-Based Budget Importing Incorrect Figures

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello:

A GP 2018 end user who upgraded from GP 2010 showed me how her fiscal year 2020 budget in GP imported the total for each account into each of the first two periods of the fiscal year.

She had started off choosing New...using Budget Wizard for Excel, in the Budget Selection window, and exported a blank budget.

She, next, updated that template with her figures and imported.

As I said, each of the first two months of each account now contain the total amount for the entire fiscal year for that account.

How can this be fixed?

Thanks!

John

We created a new Excel template, and that was "it".  The end user says that she, originally, had an instance of Excel open  at the time that she first worked with Excel-Based Budgeting and that the other instance of Excel may have had budget data or perhaps even another template open.
