Australian users 365 BC vs WIISE

Hey all,

My  trial is about to expire and  been looking for a partner to buy the subscription, this is harder than it looks as when i search here in Qld for local partner, whilst the profile says  proficient in 365 when you talk to them  they are not and try and move you over to WIISE.

WIISE is the Australian version of 365 BC but at twice the price just because it has been Austrianised ! ($145pm + $990 joining fee plus GST)

Are there other Australian users that use 365 BC and are quiet happy with it, even though you have to rewrite part of the GL to suit and change a few things.

Would appreciate ALL feedback and any  help and advise.

Thanks

Tez

I use Wiise and have to be honest with some frustrating/weird configurations and lockouts in some reports.

Anyway - we are now kind locked in and the ongoing price is not that different.

I've now spend a fair bit of time adding fields, customising column layouts, creating new fields and transferring them to other tables and forms as well exporting data to Power BI to create dashboards for users, management and for users that don't necessarily need to have a full license. So I've been running vanilla BC just fine for a couple years. Wiise really adds nothing but cost and confusion - a bad idea carried forward from the early years of go to market. Their key capability is the bank integration - but honestly unless you have a lot of accounts and do large numbers of payments you are not going to get the  benefit. You can also buy that capability directly.

they have done no real customisation of the product beyond that for the local market. I'd suggest however finding an excellent partner who can plug industry and usability gaps in the off-the-shelf product - that is much more critical - that an expertise in migration and go-live.

good luck. I won't lie you give up some pretty amazing functionality on accounting side from products like Xero - and it's only worth it if you have a need to heavily customise to provide you competitive advantage. Otherwise I'd steer clear.

i am just a small business owner in food distribution.

    Hey Tez,

Happy to have a chat, Evolution Business Systems is an Australian BC partner with a localised app for the Australian market. We have brought a few clients across from WIISE that have been saying the same thing as you!

    Best,
    Terri

Few things to consider when deciding - payroll integration, bank feeds, BPay and other payment gateways

I don’t know the Australian market but have you tried using the partner search here: dynamics.microsoft.com/.../

Takes you to appsource and there are a collection of partners like Fenwick, DXC, Asia Pacific. All worth a shot.
