Consumption Costs per unit produced.

Is there a way to show the consumption costs in relation to the units that they produced? We enter the multiple output and the consumptions journals for each production order. When we then look at the ledger entries there does not seem to be a way to determine how many units were produced against a specific consumption entry.

Any ideas?

RE: Consumption Costs per unit produced.

Sorry I was not clear enough... you are correct that the system does calculate the cost of finished goods, but it is the component break down that we are looking for.  We produce off BOM's and do multiple consumption journals (based on actual usage) for each production order. Therefore, when you look at the ledger entry for the consumption entry, how can you calculate the cost of that item by the quantity produced?

For example on the same Production Order

Produce 100 A units  uses 50lbs of item B @ cost of $300, so item B $3.00 per unit produced

Produce 100 A units  uses 55lbs of item B @ cost of $330, so $3.30 per unit produced

The issue is that on the consumption entry in the "Item Ledger Entry", there is no reference to the 100 units produced for Item A. (even though when you action the production journal, the system calulates teh est qty used based on production)

    Hope that sheds more light.

System automatic calculates cost of finish good based on row material and capacity cost based on each production order. Am I understand your problem or not?
