Marketing List and Campaign Entity entity is not valid for the current client, and won't be shown on runtime

Posted on by 10

Hi,

I have Dynamics 365 9.0 On-premise. I created an app in the UCI and added Campaigns and Marketing in the Site Mapp. selected to use all forms and views in the app designer but for some reason after I publish my app. I do not see these entities in the navigation pane.

After taking a closer look at my site mapp and clicking on validation. I see this warning:

The Marketing List entity isn’t valid for the chosen client, and won’t be shown at runtime.

Has anyone else experience this issue and might have an answer when this is the case only in UCI. In the classic mode everything seems to work fine.

"Advanced Find" will be added for onprem with the next major release at the end of this year, microsoft told us.

Workaround is to open it through the non-uci-client.

And also i'm unable to access Advanced find and Share button (OOB) in UCI . Is there any Configuration needs to be done? Thanks

    Hi Krishna,

I have now the same Problem in my V9 OnPremise Environment.

Do you know when these Entities will be enabled for UCI?

Just wanted to post and update. Spoke with one of Microsoft Technical Advisors on this issue and he stated that this behavior is by design. Marketing List and Campaign entities a few entities that are not yet UCI enabled. There is not fix for the issue just yet and they will be publishing an article about this.

So basically once you upgraded to 9.0 there might be some entities that cant be used in Apps and if used you will see the warning : entity isn’t valid for the chosen client, and won’t be shown at runtime.

In my case I only saw this behavior on the Marking List and Campaign entities.
