Hello,
Can someone explain me what are the differences between outbound marketing customer journeys and real-time marketing journeys.
Why these two types of journeys have different functionalities.
Thank you,
Like scheduling emails, have you identified other features that are in Outbound Marketing but not real time marketing? Can't really seem to find a comprehensive list anywhere. Thanks!
Ahh...maybe the Real-time is where they're heading and they'll gradually replicate everything over then remove the other.
Does seem a bit odd having two that have a lot of overlap but some pieces from each other missing.
It is set up completely different, there are no swimlanes. You are also not able to schedule when the email should be sent, i.e. day of week or even time of day. In short, outbound is the old way and Real-time is what MS has been really focusing on as of late which is why i think it is missing a lot of features. It seems to me like they almost need to combine the 2 to get all of the features that are needed
Can you add multiple segments to a single journey in real-time marketing? In outbound, you can create additional swimlanes to get multiple segments in the same journey, but this does not seem possible in real-time.
Where Outbound marketing journeys can only be orchestrated using segments, Real-time marketing journeys can be orchestrated using segments not only using marketing data but also using CI profiles. You can also use triggers (such as a support ticket opened) to orchestrate your journey and use other channels like SMS and push notifications. In short, you have unique functionalities in real-time journeys that are not available in outbound marketing.
