Reversing journal entries

If we need to book a journal entry with reversal in the next period, aside from using Recurring template, is there a simple way to do that?

Thank you,

Oleg.

You can create the journal manually.

Recurring journal is already quite easy. Not sure what kind of easier way you are expecting.

Thank you, Teddy. In other systems there is a functionality of tagging the entry as reversal during the entry. No need to enter another reversal transaction or working with the template. Just tag the check mark and specify the date of the reversal. All on the same screen.

    Cheers,

    Oleg.

There is nothing like that in the standard.

You can either customize it or submit the idea to Microsoft.

    Hello Oleg,

Hope you have got the solution. Adding a standard function "Recurring General Journals" to post reversing accruals.

    1. I have used Reversing Variable since I do not want same amount to repeat each month. In case, that is your case, you may use RF Recurring Fixed.
    2. Recurring Frequency 1D+1M will create an unposted same journal for last day of each month

    Hope this helps.
