Our printer/copier had a driver update which I discovered after running a report from Msft Dynamics/ Great Plains 2018. My IT department deleted the old driver, and now the same printer has an entirely new name. Is there a way to force my Receivables Trial Balance report to print to the new printer, or can this process be force deleted somehow?
Hi StephofHarts,
Thank you for your update letting us know that you ended up using Task Manager to force close GP and after doing so you were able to print.
I am thrilled to see that you can print now.
While I know it’s not ideal sometimes you just need to force GP closed via the Task Manager to get anywhere. Hopefully you’ll not need to do this anytime soon.
I hope you too have a great week ahead.

Thank you Nicole. At first I was listening to Great Plains tell me I couldn't exit the program without the process completing. Task Manager force quit worked just fine. When I got back into GP the process was gone, and I'm able to print just fine to the "new" printer.
Thank you again! Have a good week.
Hi StephofHarts-
Thank you for your post.
In my experience, when I close out of the GP application the Process Monitor is cleared. Are you seeing different behavior? Are you connecting to GP using a local install?
When you go to print the RM HATB report and select printer, are you prompted for a printer selection?
Is the correct printer listed in Microsoft Dynamics GP >> Printer Setup?
I appreciate your time and look forward to your feedback.
