Inventory Status Change - Periodic

I am attempting to get an Inventory Status setup for received items to be 'In Receipt', which I was able to accomplish.  

Now the issue is I cannot get the Inventory Status to change to 'Available', so that the inventory can be picked from.  I have tried the "Inventory status change" under the Warehouse Management > Periodic, but it keeps giving me the error of "Unable to Convert."  This seems like the spot where these items would be changed, so is there any suggestions on a setting(s) I may be missing?

    That was it...after setting up the Main Account to the Inter-unit receivable & payable I was able to get the inventory status to change.  This is exactly what I was looking for.

    Hi Tom,

    The error 'Account number for transaction type Inventory inter-unit receivable does not exist' seems to be a missing main account on the Item Group related to your item.

    After trying all of these suggestions on ways to change inventory status I have received error 'Account number for transaction type Inventory inter-unit receivable does not exist'

    All of the Pick & Replenishment Locations are selected to allow mixed statuses.  Also there is enough Inventory in 'Available' status to cover any reservations, so it does not appear to be a reservation issue.

    Could it be that there is other items on-hand in this location, and mixed statuses are not allowed (on the location profile for the location 'C3-04-02', is 'Allow mixed inventory statuses' ticked).

    Is the inventory in location 'C3-04-02' reserved to something?

    Is there inventory of that item with the status 'In Receipt' reserved in the Warehouse (with no location)?

    Do any of the other methods for changing inventory status work? There are at least five:

    • Warehouse management -> Periodic -> Inventory status change
    • A mobile device menu item with 'Work creation process' = 'Quarantine'
    • Warehouse management -> Inquiries -> On hand by location -> 'Quarantine'
    • Warehouse management -> Periodic -> Warehouse status change
    • A mobile device menu item with 'Work creation process' = 'Movement'

    Hi Tom,

    Can you check if there are reservations made for this item? I'm not sure, but I thought it was not possible to change the inventory status when it was on the receiving location. For sure it should work for items which were already put away.

    I am struggling to get the screen shot to post, but it is saying:

    "Item CF2107-2 could not be converted for location C3-04-02."  That is the error I get for items that have been put away.

    I get: "Item CF2107-2 on LP 000LP0004643012 could not be converted because not enough is available."  That error is from the item that is still on our Receiving Location.

    I set the Change Inventory Status settings to:

    To Inventory Status...Available

    Item Number...CF2107-2

    Inventory Status...In Receipt

    Then after it runs the error pop-up says the above and nothing changes.
