Translations missing in managed solution

Posted on by 35

Hi,

In our dev tenant we created a unmanaged solution and translated some descriptions using the export/import translation function. In the dev tenant the translations are now visible for the users.

To move the solution to another enviroinment we exported the solution as a managed solution and imported the managed solution into the target environment.

Unfortunately the translations are missing in the target environment. Both source and target environment have the same languages activated.

As i understood from previous posts this should be the way to handle translations but it isn't working. Is there somthing i'am missing here?

Best regards
Marcel

    Hi JohannaH,

It remains a tricky procedure but after a lot of trying the use of easy translator (xrmtoolBox) seems to work for us most often.

    Hi,

I am experiencing the exact same problem as you. Did you find a way to import the translations via a managed solution?

I have also used xrmToolBox for the translations in dev.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Jean Joel,

The translations are not visible in the customizations.xml. Somehow the translations are lost while exporting the solution. Strange...

Now i tried the Easy translater form the xrm toolbox and i first impression is looking ok.

    Hello Marcel,

    Thank you for your post.

Could you please check if the translation are present in the export of the managed solution?

to do that you will have to check in the customizations.xml file and verify if you can see them there.

    Thank you
