Electronic messages - Making Tax Digital - which privilege to assign

Dear community,

Some time ago we implemented MTD for UK VAT submissions. The submission was performed by a user with a System administrator role. This is the easiest way we found to kick off the process.

However, now we require adding this functionality also for non-System administrator users.

When adding the privileges which show up under the Security diagnostics the non-SysAdmin users still cannot see previously submitted electronic messages or create new ones.

The standard privileges under Security diagnostics are:

Maintain electronic messages
Operate electronic messages
View electronic messages

Do you know which privilege should be granted so that non-SysAdmin users can generate new electronic messages and view historical ones?

The issue can be resolved by adding the required security roles under:

Tax > Setup > Electronic messages > Web applications > Security roles FastTab

Tax > Setup > Electronic messages > Electronic message processing > Security roles FastTab

I would like to know what kind of roles and priviligies there is to setup for this since the list of that is not mentioned in the verified answer. In the answer it is just stated the way to go for the setup.

It is also stated in Microsoft Learn that the roles are important but not any info added what kind of rules it is
