Send Purchase Orders [E-Mail or WebService]

Hi! I'm trying Dynamics Nav 2016 and i want to automate my sales process since the beggining until the shipping with Nav.

Make Quote -> Make Order -> Send order confirmation to customer -> Make Production or Assembly Order -> (MRP and MPS) -> Create Sub-Production orders AND Purchase Orders -> Close all Orders -> Move Item to WHAREHOUSE -> Ship!

And i want to automate all the processes, for example i want after the MRP send an e-mail to all my vendors with the purchase orders (at this moment i have people doing that one by one).

What is your scene with this? who have this "high" automated and how?

Best Regards,

I hope that i've been explicit, thanks in advance!

    Hi

You can check following blogs for sending customized email from NAV

It is very much possible using NAV. In fact, this is what normal ERP system is meant for. Some of the functions are already available out-of-the-box, for some you would need additional settings and customization.

Automation of sending of emails is quite possible. However you need to be careful with the automation, as sometimes manual verification is anyway needed - due to errors in initial data entries there might be consequent undesired results in MRP and thus weird requests to vendors.

    Hello,

    Agree with #Alexander.

And see the codeunit 397, 400 and 419

These codeunits have all functionality regarding sending mails, saving pdf's and so on.

The whole cycle will done normally, but it has different roles, and better if you create workflows/notification for this based on roles, so you can verify each level and able to correction.

    Pedro,

You can automate all the processes as you mentioned above, but you need create a customization with rules when you want to process a specific quote and when you want to create production/assembly order. Sending emails in this process is very easy customization compared to other processes you mentioned.

But is this workflow one by one? because at the moment we take once a day to check all orders and to make the purchases and production orders and i don't know if one by one will be a great deal.

I must have someone in Production department looking to the needs and see if we have something in other "Obsolete stock"
