GP 2018 Trial Balance report not showing any data

Hi
 
I upgraded for one of my client from GP 2015 to GP 18.7 (Latest version). After the upgrade, when I ran the trial balance report, report is not showing any data. Data is available in the tables and in Inquiry of GL i can see the data in GP.
 
I am not sure what is wrong here, Can anyone help me in this issue?

    I would suggest the below. It might look like the same steps provided but the order can matter for issues with dictionaries.
     
    1. Export all Forms and Reports Customizations.
      1. Dynamics GP | Tools | Customization Maintenance.
      2. Select all Items.
      3. Click Export.
      4. Choose a name and locations.
      5. Click Save.
    2. Close GP and have everyone log out of all GP instances if these dictionaries are shared between users.
    3. Rename the forms and reports.dic to be .old.
    4. Go through the steps below to synchronize dynamics.dic to the GP Client.
      1. Synchronize the modified forms and reports by using Great Plains Utilities. To do it, follow these steps:
        1. Open the Dex.ini file.
          1. This is located in the data folder in the GP Code Folder.
        2. Located the SYNCHRONIZATION line in the dex.ini.
          1. Set this to TRUE and save the changes.
            1. You might need to save it as a new file to desktop depending on your permissions to change files in the current location. Then you can copy and paste to the location and overwrite the current file.
        3. Start Great Plains Utilities. To do it, follow the appropriate step:
        4. In Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 and higher versions, select Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Dynamics, point to GP 10.0 (or appropriate version), and then select Utilities.
        5. In Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0, select Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Dynamics, point to GP 9.0, and then select Utilities.
        6. In Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains 8.0, select Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Business Solutions, point to Great Plains, and then select Great Plains Utilities.
        7. In the Additional Tasks window, select Synchronize forms and reports dictionaries, and then select Process.
        8. Locate the Dynamics.set file on the client computer, and then select Next.
    5. Start GP.
      1. Test if the reports now product data.
        1. If using modified versions of the report, you will need to set security back to the core reports for testing as the modified reports do not exist as we have not imported the package file. 
      2. If data now prints, import the Package File we created in step one.
      3. If any changes to security were made to set to use the core report, change the security back to the modified version of the report is used.
      4. Test if the modified version of the report prints data.
        1. If this does not print but the original version prints, there is something wrong with the modified reports. Perhaps they never got upgraded?

    Below are my responses.
     
    1. Are you running the Detailed Version or the Summary version of the report? - Both
    2. When you say you can see the data is available in the tables and in the inquiry window, what tables are you looking at and what inquiry windows?
      1. There are two type of reports and inquiry window, Detail and Summary. - Detail and summary window
      2. Detail shows the actual transactions and is looking at the GL20000 and GL30000 tables.
      3. Summary is a running total of the detail values and is looking at the GL10110 and GL10110 table.
      4. Summary can exist if no detail.
    3. Next, I would ask, was there any problems during the upgrade? - No
      1. If yes, did you restore, correct the errors and then reclose?
    4. Report Options can get corrupted at time, have you tried a new Report Option? - I created a new report option
    5. What report Restrictions are you using? - I only use to include posting account and the year.
      1. Could possibly be an option selection that is causing it to not return any data?
    6. If you post a new Transaction, does it show on the Report? - Not done.
    7. Can you see the data if you look at the modules Smartlist that you are running the report for? - I can see value in the smartlist.
    8. Is the report version you are printing modified? - standard report
      1. If yes, does the same thing happen with the core report?
    9. Is the Trial Balance report the only one having a problem? - GL, AR and AP
    10. Did you do the Jumps correctly to 18.7 or did you go from 2015 to 18.5 directly? - GP 2015 ->GP 2018 RTM - > 18.3 -> 18.5 -> 18.7

    I tried recreating the Forms.dic and reports.dic but it didnt solve the issue.
     
    I would like to know whether I am missing anything.

    Hello Durai, that is a big upgrade / jump in versions, congratulations to you on getting upgraded to a recent version.

    If it is only the report that seems to be the problem, I would start with a damaged forms or report.dic with that large of an upgrade and change in product, we should recreate them or try to print original and rule that out.
