Attention filed in Purchase Orders

When creating a purchase order, why do we have to confirm the PO then request changes before we can add ATTENTION information? Otherwise we receive an error and have to recall the PO, then remove the ATTENTION, run it thru workflow, confirm, request changes, then add the ATTENTION and then run it thru workflow again to get the ATTENTION to stick.

Just wondering why we have to go thru hoops to do this.

Hi,
Do you have some custom process in creating purchase order, because if creating purchase order in standard system, there is no attention field as you mentioned. You can ask your organization members if they have made any customization or configuration changes as per the organization requirement, whether they have customized the system or configured the workflow to cause this behavior.
