    Surendra, please make sure you provide titles that describe the topic; saying just "Dynamics AX" is the same as no title at all, because this whole forum is about Dynamics AX. Also, please select the correct version next time. I'm going to fix it for you in this case {as I did with your previous thread).

    this property to Specifies the query passed to the target form for the IntialQuery method. The query is selected from a drop down list.

    you can check open sales order form, you will find it use  SalesTableListPage form but pass query SalesTableListPageOpen in menu item to filter on open order only

    A good example are menu items such as PurchOrderInDraft and PurchOrdersRegisteredNotYetReceived. Both opens the same form, but they use different queries, because they're used to show different orders.

    The first sentence of Mahmoud reply is from AX documentation (Menu Item Properties [AX 2012]). If you didn't see it before, you should get used to consulting documentation.

    Hi martin,

    I am having a display menuitem "SalesQuotationsListPage_Open" which has got it properties as object = Salesquotationlistpage & object type = form

                         query  = SalesQuotationsListPage_Open.

    So it means it is opening the Salesquotationlistpage with some filters.

    i understoood that.But i am unable to see where we are catching the passed query . Can u help me in understanding this?

    Unfortunately you didn't explain what you mean by "catching the passed query". If you mean that you have to write code to get the property considered, you're wrong. AX itself understands it and applies the query.
