Critical Stop, Stack trace: An empty SQL statement descriptor list has been encountered.

When doing a full compile of the application after upgrading my Ax2012 system to the latest CU2, I get a critical stop.  I have very few customizations to a few tables at this point.  I may have seen this before, out of the box, but didn't concern myself with it.

I like Ax, I do, but it remains full of un-helpful error messages such as this one.  Does anyone know how I can get more detail in a log?  (There was nothing in the message window or compile output window.)  Dono if it finished or not...  A critical stop indicates the full compile was not completed!

Thanks,

Joe

    Hi Joe,

I reproduced this in house and filed a bug on this late last week.  Look at your views, and your configuration.  Do you have any views that have tables that are tied to a configuration key that is disabled?  If so, that probably is the cause of your error.

I don't have any more on this at this time, but it is under investigation, and is now a known issue.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Bill, Joe,

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue?  We are having the same issue with AX2012 and CU2:

"Stack trace: An empty SQL statement descriptor list has been encountered."

There is no detailed description.  The Full CIL compile fails, and we're not able to synchronize either.

    Thanks,

    -Andreas

    Hello,

Development has not released a fix for this yet.  When it is released, I will try to remember to post the KB article number out here so you can request it.

    Thanks,

    -Bill

    Hello Bill,

Is this fix released yet. Or is there a work around for this? When I synchronize Datadictonary getting warning messages saying that "Cannot execute a ddl command on Demand forecast (PorjForecastSalesView). The view has been disabled. Configuration key on following table(s) is off. ForecastSales". This is one of the 9 similar warning messages.

    Thanks,

    Somu

    Hello,

This is still in Development.  I don't have an ETA on when we will get something for this.  I wish I had more, but at this time, you have all the information that I currently have.

    Thanks,

    Bill

    Hello Bill,

I use the Feature Pack version: after installation of a minor Hotfix (KB2643225) I also get this error message. Is there any new information on this issue?

    Thanks,

    Nancy

    Hi,

the approach we have taken is the following.

Remove the licence keys for the modules that you are not interested in. The reasoning behind this is as follows; remove the licence key = remove the unwanted module, then the system should not consider this for the system compile.

We are still in process of refining our list of modules that we can loose from the licence.

Will post a further update when I have more to share.

    Regards,

    LJ
