AX2012 R3 WHS Purchase Order receiving error - Item Allocation failed

(0) ShareShare

I am trying to set up the purchase order receiving and put away process in R3 and am getting an Item Allocation failed error. From prior posts I can tell this is related to my Directive actions but I can't tell why I am not getting a location to populate.

If I flip the parm to NOT stop on failure I can see that the receipt is working and that work is generated but I am not able to do the put away. (I would be OK with user directed location selection but have not been able to determine how to turn location on for the menu item).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can you post screenshots of your setup? (similar to what other forum members did)? I should be able to help you then

I am afraid you haven't really given us anything to go on so far. just that it is not working.

Also, I am not sure what you mean about not being able to execute the putaway work. What exactly happens? do you get an error?

"turn location on for the menu item" - not sure what you expect here

Remove the "Disposition code" setting from the location directive.

It does not look like you are using it (it would need to be enabled on the mobile device menu item as well)

That should resolve your inability to get the location auto-generated.

The error about license plate specified on a non-LP controlled location => search on this forum, a number of people had this issue.

First thing to check is that the automatically generated location assigned to your work user (it has the exact same name) has location profile that is LP tracked.

Thanks  - that fixed my problem. Not sure I would have ever figured that one out!
