When linking to a Marketing Form with an email, is it only possible to prefill fields when sent via a marketing email, or can this be done with an ordinary email?
Thanks
Hello,
sending via our email will ensure we have the right identity (the person opening the form is the same person we have sent an email to).
Once that identity is established from that point on, we will keep recognizing that person on that device. So at that point for emails sent from other tools or just opening the form in a browser themselves, the form prefill will still work with the correct identity.
It's only the first time that we need to establish the right identity of that person in our system that they need to open the form from our emails.
HTH
Ordinary email is used to personal communication, while marketing email is for marketing campaign activities.
Only marketing email has the mechanism to generate special parameters to links to identify contacts.
