Cannot Access Elements of Refrenced Model

Hi Folks,

I have 2 models named DSS and DSSReports. DssReports have references to DSS.

I am trying to create a report in DSSReport but in my contract class when I try to create a buffer for DSSRFPNum (EDT in DSS Model) it gives the error "The name 'DSSRFPNum' does not denote a class, a table, or an extended data type."

Is there anything that I am missing?

If yes Kindly guide me to fix the problem.

And when I try to edit and save the class it gives following error.

After adding the reference packages, have you tried refreshing the models?

After creating edt(DSSRFPNum) in the DSS model, have you build the DSS model?

Hi,

Try to close and open the Visual studio, if not works try restarting VM.

The error message is very strange. It says that it can't save a file in DSSReports model because it can't read the DocentricAX directory. Do you have any idea what your changes have to do with DocentricAX directory?

Were you able to compile the application before creating DSSTendorReportContract class?

The thing is we had 12 models in total.

We were deploying a new environment for a new client which does not need three models (DocentricAX, DocentricAXEmail, and DocentricAXExtension) So we discarded those models.

We kept 9 models only but the DSSTendorReportContract doesn't have anything to do with the DocentricAX model.

This is our first full build on the new Dev VM.

Does your models(DSS & DSSReport) refer to any of those 3 models(DocentricAX,DocentricAxEmail,DocentricAXExtension).

After installing all the 9 models have you done build?

It indeed seems that you still have a reference to DocentricAX in a descriptor file of one (or more) of your models, most likely in DSSReport. Please review the desriptors, remove invalid references and then re-compile your application. Don't try to write any new code before you get the current application to a compilable state.
