"Zero price valid"=0, but POS allows to enter zero price

Hi friends,

I have a release product with parameter "Zero price valid"=0, prices for product (kg, Quantity), unit conversions (kg -> g).

I enter in POS this product and manual changes unit of measure to "g" and POS defines the zero price and not display any errors.

Who solved the problem? is it possible to avoid the development?

Thanks.

    Hi Eugen,

The question is unclear , can you provide any example.

1.Are you getting zero price valid error when you scan the item on POS .

2.Are you getting the error when you change the UOM on POS.

    Hey Sumit -

i'm actually getting this in Two of our POS's in different locations.  POS01 says a price of zero is not valid,  but POS02 in the same location doesnt.   Is there anything i need to look at specifically?

If both the POS01 and POS02 have different POS DB, then check the RetailInventTable for Zero valid price field. If you want to allow the zero value at POS then you have to setup this on the item. Now the issue might be , it might not have been updated on POS02 POS DB.

Use this query to find out--

select ZEROPRICEVALID,* from RETAILINVENTTABLE where ITEMID ='<item number>'

the zeropricevalid field should be 1.

Its strange that all of them seem to be at 0 for this particular POS.    is there a way to mass change all of them within that table from 0 to 1 ?     Also,  i looked at the DB from the POS that is working and the retailinventtable shows all of them as zero in the zeropricevalid field as 0.

Use this query - update table RetailInventTable set ZeroPriceValid = 1.

This will set the zero price valid for all the items in the POS DB. You can update the POS DB directly but you may have to check the scheduler jobs, I guess they are not working fine for this POS DB.

Would it still reflect the correct price per the trade agreements for these products on the POS,  we dont want these items to show as 0 price.

Also,  i've verified the jobs from back end to the POS and the POS receives it fine.  I end pushed the Product 1040.

Yes even if you set the ZeroPriceValid field to 1 for all the items, it will pick up the price defined in the item master or trade agreement. I suggest you update only 1 item which is giving error and for which you want to allow the item to be selected at POS even with zero price. Use the query -update table RetailInventTable set ZeroPriceValid = 1 where itemid ="<item number>"

ok if that works, then i should update all with the second command sent?

Only update those items for which the price is zero, for rest of the items it is not recommend to update this field.

I never update those items with prices and I also recommend the same.

I did this on the POS DB,   and it didnt prompt the error message but it just showed the price as zero.    Again, on POS02 everything is fine.   Same products etc.
