Portals: Conditional Web Form Step as Start Step not working

Hi,

I am configuring a Web Form where the Start Step is defined as a Conditional Web Form Step.

If the condition is met, form A shall be loaded.

If the condition fails, form B shall be loaded.

From what I can recall from the past, this was working fine.

Today I am experiencing that such setup creates an error.

Any ideas?

Note: If I define the form load (Web Form step for either form A or form B)  as the start step, no error is thrown and the form is loaded as expected.

I appreciate your feedback.

I have the same question (0)

Portal limitation, the first step cannot be a condition - it is actually documented somewhere (but not obvious).

Thanks for sharing this procedure. I have been using both of these procedures, I need to export web form data from one location o main location so that I could manage my web form calculation with the help of A & B. I like this innovative idea, but still it has some limitation too. A lot of research papers revealed that technology has made our life more easier that's why I also take a topic named 'how hi-technology impact on daily life style' as my research paper writing project. You may get this one https://edubirdie.com/research-papers-writing-services for research paper writing tips about different topics and get your research paper published on popular relevant journals across the world.Different features and software of Microsoft could be a good subject for research paper writing project. Thanks for covering this method.

    Hello,

It seems like you are encountering an issue with your web form configuration. When using a Conditional Web Form Step as the Start Step, it should load either Form A or Form B based on the condition. However, you mentioned that it's now causing an error.

Here are a few things you can check to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Condition Check: Double-check the condition you have set for the Conditional Web Form Step. Ensure that the condition is correctly evaluating to either true or false as intended.

    2. Form Configuration: Review the configuration of Form A and Form B to ensure there are no errors in their setup. Check for any recent changes or updates that might have affected their functionality.

    3. Error Message: Pay attention to the specific error message you are receiving. It might provide more details about what's going wrong. Look for any error codes or descriptions that can help pinpoint the issue.

    4. Logs and Debugging: Check if there are any logs or debugging tools available for your web form system. These can be valuable in identifying the exact point where the error occurs.

    5. Software Updates: Make sure that your web form software is up to date. Sometimes, issues can be resolved by updating to the latest version, as developers often release patches and bug fixes.

    6. Documentation: Consult the documentation or user manual of your web form software. It may have troubleshooting steps or known issues related to Conditional Web Form Steps that can provide guidance.

    7. Testing Environment: If possible, try replicating the issue in a testing or staging environment. This can help isolate the problem without affecting the live system.

If you can provide more specific details about the error message or the web form software you are using, I might be able to offer more targeted assistance.
