Number Sequence Error

I am creating a new number sequence for purchase order. Defined the number sequence code and name. Specified the scope as 'Company" and given the desired company. Specified the appropriate segments company, constant and alphanumeric as desired. Marked Continuous option for generating continuous numbers.

Now, when  I go to Procurement and sourcing parameters >> Number sequence and try to change the number sequence code of purchase order from default Purch_24 to the defined number sequence say test, I am getting the following error:

"Unable to find a unique Number sequence code record corresponding to the entered values"

Can anyone let me know the step being missed while defining or configuring the number sequence?

Note: The number sequences are generated in AX using the wizard

    Hi Andre,

I am getting the error on changing the number sequence code value.

Budget control is not enabled and I am not using the budgeting module.

    Regards,

    Aleem

    Hi Mohammed,

I was confused with another error message.

The error message comes from the feature "Budget control". Very strange message on changing the number sequence code value in parameters.

Do you get the error on changing the number sequence code value itself or when you create and enter the purchase order with its details?

If Budget control is enabled, you can check the number sequences from the module Budgeting.

Thanks for the reply André. The segment checkbox is already marked.

I have also tried creating the number sequence for product number too. And the error remains same.

     Any other alternative dear?

    Regards,

    Aleem

    RE: Number Sequence Error

    Hi Mohammed,

Please check the Segment configuration if the check box Company is enabled for the Purchase order. You can open this form with th efollowing path: Organization administration, Common, Number sequences, Segment configuration.

If not correct the value and enable this field.
