IP Network Printing

We have a setup for MS Dynamics that requires the printers (Brother MFC-2750dw) to use WSD ports in order to print correctly from the GP/ Dynamics print server. From what I have read most users are doing locally attached printers however  that is not practical. Can the program print correctly from an IP networked printer coming off a 2022 print server? Are there special settings the program needs to function correctly?

Thanks,

Just add the printer using its IP address and printer driver.

Then it will behave like any other printer. I have two printers and both are on the network and not connected to any machine.

Certainly! MS Dynamics supports printing network-connected devices.
To print correctly from an IP networked printer, follow these steps:
In MS Dynamics, navigate to the relevant area (e.g., registers).
On the Action Pane, select Configure IP addresses.
In the Printer FastTab, enter the IP address of the printer.
Leave the field for the port number blank.
Similarly, configure the Cash drawer FastTab with the printer’s IP address.

The pint is not device or function specific printers, this isn't a POS system. Users are only generating reports with Word Templates however not having the connection over WSD fails to print what they need, especially from auto-generated prints that they do not have printer selection control over.

    Hopefully, that clarifies things better.
