How do I add a change of address onto our statements?

Hi,

I'm relatively new to AX, but getting my head round it pretty quickly.

I've been asked to put a message on customer statements to remind them we have changed address from Letchworth to Royston, and to send mail to this new address.

Any pointers as to where to do this would be greatly appreciated, I've looked in all the places I can think of, but can't find it.

Many thanks

Karn

    Hi Karn,

There are a few ways to tackle this.  The easiest is probably to create a label of the reminder and then attach that label to a text control in one of the sections of the report.

    Regards.

    Hi Kent,

That makes sense - er, but I don't know where to find the report to edit the text control, let alone how to do it - sorry, I am learning fast, but don't know my way fully around the system, only been using it sporadically for 2 months

There are a few customer statement reports but you are most likely interested in CustAccountStatementExt.

Go to AOT > reports > CustAccountStatmentExt.

Expand the design and make a decision to what section you want to put that message.  Expand that section.  Right click on section add text control.

Create label in label editor via development tools, label editor.

In the text control properties (right click on control) put the label (Example:  @LAB1234) into the text property.

Move text control around using generated design > right click > edit.

You should really have a developer do this however and of course always use a test environment first.

    Kent,

You're a star. We do have a designer, but she had never seen AX until 2 weeks ago, we're going on CRM Systems Admin training on Tuesday next week.

Thanks so much for your help and advice.

Easier option..... Go to Accounts Receivable > Setup > Forms > Form Notes

On Customer external a/c statement, add the Text about the reminder.

Yes much easier but you can't control where you want to put the message that way!
