Adding Terms and Conditions to the SSRS Report.

ReportReport
Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Good Evening,

I need to add "Terms and Conditions"(A page of static text with bullet-ed points) to the available SSRS Report

To achieve it, I Added a text box in the rectangle at the bottom of the report. I have set the page break property of the rectangle as the terms and conditions should only be printed on the last page of the report.  then, added the static text to the text box.

I don't want the header on the terms and conditions page so, I  Checked  "Print on the first page Check box on the header properties but I don't see any changes.

Issues I am facing by doing so are AS i have page of static text [Terms and Conditions] it's dividing in to multiple pages because the top half of the page is taken by the header

1.  after every page I am getting a blank page with just header in it.

2. Header is printed on all pages, it should not be printed on the terms and conditions page.

if there is a better way to add terms and conditions rather than adding it as a static text to the text box control ?

In simple , I have to add the terms and conditions page with out header on the terms and conditions.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance

    Hello Sunil,

I appreciate your time. Since the content of the "terms and conditions" is more than one page and header consumes close to half of the page. So, the whole report when generated consumes  3 pages even when the SO lines are one or two, with header in each page.

Even If I disable the Header with properties on the report, the space allocated for the header would be blank and cannot be consumed.

My client was okay doing the below process.

We decreased the size of the header. That is my header now has only page number, total pages and company logo and remaining stuff of the header is moved into the body.

    Regards

    VK

    Hi VK,

You should add rectangle at end of the body not in page footer.

Then you will get terms and conditions page with out header.

    Sorry, for the late reply.

I cleared my caches and restarted SSRS, It fixed my issue of extra blank pages.

The only issue I have at this point is, header is being repeated on every page. I want header only for the report data (That is if the lines on the SO Confirmation are more, then I get a report of 2 pages, In that case I need header for two pages. ) not for the "Term and Conditions" Static text.

I played with all "display header" properties but no luck.

    Thanks for your initial help.

Did you have this issue with blank page before adding rectangle ? If no probably rectangle is an issues. Could you post screenshots of design and header properties ?

Thank you for the suggestion and recommendation, I knew that it was because of width. but I did verified the width of all controls and it was all less than the report size.

Next regarding the header as I mentioned in my question, I have set the properties which you suggested in the link. by changing those properties  either I don't get header or header is printed on all the pages.

    Thanks

    Hi VK kumar,

Every second blank page in SSRS is a well-known issue. It is caused by element that is too wide and does not fit into a page. Probably it's a new rectangle. Try to reduce it's width.

Regarding header you should be able to disable it on the last page, please refer to this msdn article for details msdn.microsoft.com/.../dd239385(v=sql.110).aspx
