Deleted Page 42

Posted on by 200

So I don't have any backups and I deleted Page 42 Sales Orders, Do I have to reinstall Navision to get it back, or is there an easy way to reset to default pages. I assumed that it wouldn't allow me to delete this page, since I can't save page 42.

Then you should use the SQL backup of the demo database: ...\SQLDemoDatabase\CommonAppData\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\X0\Database\Demo Database NAV (X-0).bak (this is the path on the NAV 2013 DVD and I assume it will be the same for NAV 2009)

Restore it in the SQL Management Studio, open the database with the NAV Client and export your required object.

Your suggestion was helpful. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any *.fbk or *.fob files with the Page 42 on the DVD.

On the NAV product DVD, there should be a *.fbk file.

Open the Object Designer, Click File -> Import and select the fbk file. Open the Import Worksheet and filter for page 42. Make sure that really only this one record (page 42) is visible, then import it.
