Payment Type ID Report - Credit Card in Cash Receipts Module

Posted on by 5

I would like to run a report that shows the dollar amount of payments made to our organization by credit card in the last year and can't seem to find a report on how to easily do this. We are currently using Dynamic GP 2016. Thank you.

RE: Payment Type ID Report - Credit Card in Cash Receipts Module

    Hello Megan,

I see you are looking for a report that will show your Credit Card Transaction in the last year.

There are no reports in GP that will only show Credit Card transactions. However, we can use/create a Smartlist to accomplish this.

In the RM20101 and RM30101, for Credit Card Cash Receipts, we store the Credit Card name in a column called FRTSCHID (Freight Schedule ID).

You can add this field to the core Cash Receipt Smartlist and then use Filters to restrict the data down to the results you are looking for. Please see an sample steps below.

    1. Create a smartlist based off the Cash Receipt Smartlist to show the Credit Card Name.
      1. Open Smartlist.
        1. Microsoft Dynamics GP | Smartlist.
      2. Expand the Sales Folder.
      3. Expand Receivables Transactions.
      4. Select the * to open the Smartlist.
      5. In the * Smartlist, click Columns.
      6. In the Change Column Display window, click Add.
      7. In the Columns window, locate and select Freight Schedule ID and click Ok.
      8. Click ok in the Change Columns Display window.
      9. The smartlist should now populate.
    2. Add a Restriction(s) to filter by your Credit Card Names.
      1. Click the Search button when in the Cash Receipt Smartlist.
      2. In the search window, select the following:
        1. Column Name = Freight Schedule ID.
        2. Filter = is equal to.
        3. Value = Name of your Credit Card.
        4. Add additional filters for your other Credit Cards as needed.
      3. Click Ok.
      4. You can add additional restrictions as well for dates.
    3. Save the Modified Smartlist as a Favorite so the changes are saved to a favorite.
      1. Click the Favorite button at the top.
      2. Enter a Name.
      3. Fill out any additional fields as needed.
      4. Click the Add button.
      5. Choose which option you want to add.
      6. Close the window.
    4. Test the Smartlist to determine if it is giving the information you are looking for.

    I hope this helps!
