Check Printing

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I just added a new bank account to Nav and when the check prints, the MICR code is printing too low on the check. Does anyone know how to move up the MICR line on the check?

Thanks,

M

    RE: Check Printing

First make sure you have the correct MICR font. YES, there are many companies that sell MICR fonts all E13B. They are not the same. Check with your bank to see which font companies they accept. Buy that font and install it on a workstation(s) that will always print checks. Remember, you must use a "Check" printer that uses magnetic toner. Print "Voided" copies for your banks approval.

If you feel you have the correct font, go to the Development client and find the report and hit "Design"

Once in the report, go to "layout". You can now modify the report in "Visual Studio"

Remember to export a copy of the object before making any changes.

    Good Luck!
