Dynamics AX 2009 workflow error

Hi, I have a Dynamics AX 2009 setup with demo data loaded.

The problem is that I'm getting workflow error notifications every few minutes. Upon inspecting the event viewer log, I found the following error message:

Description:
Exception thrown in     SysWorkflowEventDispatcher-onAcknowledgeWorkflowActivation    SysWorkflowEventDispatcher-raiseWorkflowActivationEvent        : Web service failed: workflow id 00000019_018 Server was unable to process request. ---> Access is denied

I have already verified that BC Proxy account is a member of Administrators group. In IIS, Authentication mode is set to "Windows" only. The OS is Windows Server 2003 and I've tried luck with upgrading IE to version 7. But the problem still remains.

 

Can somebody help me rectify this? I'm a newbie at Dyanmics.

    Check a few things:

    1.  Permissions on the Workflow folder in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\50\Workflow

    2.  What is the user for the AOS and what permissions does it have?

    3.  What is the user for workflow execution in Administration > Setup > Security > System service accounts?

    We have an account named "bcproxy" which is a member of Administrators, WSS_WPG and WSS_ADMIN_WPG groups.

    1.  Permissions on the Workflow folder in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\50\Workflow

    >>> The permissions of workflow folder did not include WSS_WPG and WSS_ADMIN_WPG user groups. I've added them now. The folder already had the user 'bcproxy' added to it.

    2.  What is the user for the AOS and what permissions does it have?

    >>> I did not get your question. The service named "Dynamics Ax Application Object Server" logs in using "NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK " account. Is this what you are asking for?

    3.  What is the user for workflow execution in Administration > Setup > Security > System service accounts?

    >>>All the 3 service accounts are mapped to "bcproxy" account.

    I would try and see if you can change the AOS account from "Network" to something else, like an "AOS" account that then has permissions to the local folder, etc.  If memory serves, this account is also used for the web services (beyond the BC proxy).  

    Just a hunch.

    Hi Patrick,

    Thanks a Ton for your help. I changed the login account for AOS service and finally I stopped getting the error. However, I got another error [Workflow stopped(error)]. It was easily resolved by configuring Calendar.

    Was trying to get around this since a long time.

    can you describe from where i should change AOS account from "Network" to something else, like an "AOS" account
